I’ll build the set around your taste, not a default wedding playlist.  We always suggest keeping things realistic – if you give me a 200 song NO PLAY LIST it can be difficult to filter every song through it – but if you tell us NO COUNTRY or WE HATE BRUNO MARS, it is easier to manage v. listing every song.

Yes. I provide ceremony sound (as an add-on; be sure to check your quote to confirm it is included as a line item), a wireless lapel mic for your officiant, a mic for you two if you’re doing your own vows, and wireless mics for any readers. The ceremony is sound-checked before guests arrive.  Our ceremony system is completely battery-powered, so go ahead and get married under that tree out in the middle of that field.

Yes. Wireless lapel mic for the officiant, a handheld for toasts, and I can mic you two for your own vows. All sound-checked before the ceremony.  We have up to 4 separate wireless mics for any of our ceremony setups (be sure that is added as an option on your quote) and we have 1 wireless handheld mic for toasts during dinner in our main system.

I don’t force games on anyone, but if you want to do the Newlywed Game or Shoe Game, I can easily coordinate it.  As for line dances – you will never see me out on the dance floor teaching line dances.  Sure, if you want the Wobble played – no problem, but I won’t interject myself into the dance floor.

Yes, always. Every booking gets a written contract that spells out the date, hours, services, price, deposit, and cancellation terms. No contract means no protection — for either of us.

Yes. If the party’s still going and you want to extend, the overtime rate is spelled out in the contract so there’s no awkward negotiation at midnight.

Yes. Setup and breakdown are included in my pricing — you’re not paying extra for me to load in and out. The hours in your contract are the hours the music plays.

Up to 6 months before event: We’ll try to reschedule (within an 18 month window of original date dependent on DJ Rob Alberti’s availability) and apply any previous payment. No refunds.

Retainer: A non-refundable retainer of $1000 is due when you sign this contract.

Your quote will stipulate what lighting is or is not included in your package.  Lighting is a great way to create atmosphere and energy at your wedding.  We’ll build a package around the look you want and the room’s size.

If your venue has a decibel limit, I work within it.  It’s always best to seat older relatives further from where I’ll be setting up so we don’t have any issues with Grandma or your Uncle’s hearing aids.  

Yes, MC duties are included. I handle all announcements, momentum, and coordination with your other vendors.  No cheesy DJ voice – so don’t think you need to assign one of your friends to MC your wedding (that never works well in the end).  Leave it to the expert you’ve hired.  That would be like asking your friend to photograph your wedding alongside your photographer.  It just isn’t the same.

Yes. When you book with me, I’m the one who shows up. I don’t subcontract your wedding to an associate or 3rd party. The person you meet and vet is the person managing the DJ gear and dance floor all night.

For virtually all events, the answer is YES.  An assistant helps me handle load-in and setup, guest requests, and the logistics of transitioning from space to space as he tears down gear no longer needed as we go from ceremony to cocktails to dinner and dancing, so I can focus on the mix, maintaining your timeline and the room full of guests in front of me.

Yes. I’ll build the timeline with you and your planner — entrances, first dance, dinner, toasts, cake, and open dancing — so the evening flows without dead air or rushed moments.  This is accomplished during our detail meeting (about 3 months prior) and is noted in our shared Google doc for your reference.  With any wedding timeline, it is flexible as something always comes up during the wedding – it just gives us goals for the day to ensure everyone is on the same page.
